Under the name \u201cThree stories&nbsp;one country:&nbsp;Culture, crafts and&nbsp;environmental awareness in the&nbsp;Dominican Republic\u201d,&nbsp;the public had the opportunity to enjoy the short films:&nbsp;<EM>El Larimar: de la mina a la joyer\u00eda; Salga el mal y entre el bien: Liborio Mateo, la historia, and Garbage or Resource? A Dominican Republic Experience<\/EM>.&nbsp; This last film received the distinction of finalist in the 2014 edition of ECOFILM Festival. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>Alexandra Tabar, Multimedia Manager of GFDD and Multimedia Assistant, \u00c1ngel Castellanos, were in charge of the&nbsp;<SPAN lang=EN>Q&amp;A<\/SPAN><SPAN lang=EN>&nbsp;session that took placeafter&nbsp;the presentation&nbsp;of the films.<\/SPAN>&nbsp;<SPAN lang=EN>They answered<\/SPAN><SPAN lang=EN>&nbsp;questions from the audience, who&nbsp;were very interested&nbsp;in learning more&nbsp;about&nbsp;the issues presented in&nbsp;the documentaries,&nbsp;as well as the&nbsp;environmental awareness programs&nbsp;of GFDD&nbsp;and&nbsp;FUNGLODE.<\/SPAN> <\/P><br \/>\n<P>The Book Fair is an important annual event celebrated in NY, organized by the Cultural Commission of Dominican Republic in the U.S., which is part of the Ministry of Culture of Dominican Republic. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>GFDD is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the advancement of global collaboration and exchange relevant to Dominican professionals, general audiences and institutions in the homeland and abroad.
