Former President of the Dominican Republic and President of GFDD, Dr. Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez, officially kick-started the event.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>After the golf tournament was played and everyone enjoyed a great day, all gathered at the Alhambra Ballroom, where the Executive Director of GFDD thanked the public for the support given to this event and the Foundation since the beginning. \u201cWe are grateful for the unconditional endorsement you have always given us, and we urge you to continue supporting the various initiatives developed by GFDD\u201d, said Ms. Despotovic.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Mr. Ricardo Jacobo, GFDD collaborator, highlighted the great academic and cultural contribution provided by the institution and thanked the support received from the players and sponsors, contributing to exceed revenue targets set for this edition of the tournament, the first one held in the city of Miami, Florida.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez and Ms. Despotovic presented the 2014 GFDD CUP to the winning team.
