Debut of Soprano of Teatro Orquestal Dominicano Announced<\/SPAN><\/STRONG> T<\/SPAN>he fact that she was a blind person was not an obstacle for Janette M\u00e1rquez to show extraordinary abilities for music and singing since childhood. <\/EM><\/P> The Ministry of Culture will sponsor the concert for the official presentation of soprano vocalist Janette M\u00e1rquez Valerio, who is part of the Teatro Orquestal Dominicano (TODO) cast. <\/P> The activity will take place next Wednesday, June 25th at 8:00 p.m. in the A\u00edda Bonnelly de D\u00edaz Hall of the Eduardo Brito National Theater. M\u00e1rquez will perform the songs: \u201cComo me Besabas T\u00fa\u201d, by Jos\u00e9 Dolores Cer\u00f3n; \u201cCuando te Beso\u201d, by Juan Luis Guerra; \u201cPara Quererte\u201d, by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rodr\u00edguez and Manuel Tejada, and \u201cQuisqueya\u201d, by Rafael Hern\u00e1ndez. The repertoire includes a set by recently deceased singer Sonia Silvestre, which includes the songs: \u201cQue ser\u00e1 de ti\u201d, by Roberto Carlos; \u201cLa tarde est\u00e1 llorando y es por ti\u201d, by Gabino Correa; \u201cOjal\u00e1\u201d, by Silvio Rodr\u00edguez, and \u201cPor Amor\u201d, by Rafael Solano. <\/P> About the artist <\/STRONG><\/P> She studied music at the Institute of Culture and Art. She continued her studies at Hogar de la Armon\u00eda, both in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros. <\/P> Back in the United States, she was admitted to the Hamarskjold School where she continued developing her choral voice. She also took guitar lessons through a special program at Rutgers University. <\/P> Currently, she is a prominent member of Teatro Orquestal Dominicano, the first governmental institution working the artistic aspect with special needs individuals. Later, she auditioned for maestro Jos\u00e9 Antonio Molina, who invited her to debut with the National Symphonic Orchestra. <\/P> It is worth noting that TODO was accompanied by the Juan Pablo Duarte Youth Symphonic Orchestra, under the direction of maestros Jos\u00e9 Antonio Molina, Dante Cucurullo and Caonex Peguero.
