Exhibit by Plastic Artist Jorge Pineda presented in France<\/STRONG> R<\/SPAN>enowned Dominican artist Jorge Pineda will present his exhibit “Mambr\u00fa” at the Mir\u00f3 Hall of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in France, with the support of the Ministries of Culture and Tourism. <\/P> Pineda and the Dominican Republic have been distinguished with an invitation as honored guests of the European Night of the Museums at UNESCO. <\/P> Mambr\u00fa, which will be on display on May 17th, is composed of nine life-size sculptures of children, carved in wood and lined with metal: pieces representing the violence that society exerts on children, forcing them to take a position in a world of adults, losing their innocence in a compulsory way. <\/P> Pineda demonstrates its creativity in the collection “El bosque: Mentiras” (The forest: Lies), “Las ni\u00f1as rojas” (The red girls), “Las ni\u00f1as locas” (The crazy girls), and “Mambr\u00fa”, which are part of the exhibit. Jorge Pineda was born in Barahona and is part of the most important contemporary artists of his generation. These works, which have orchestrated the artistic discourse of Pineda and reflect his sensitivity to social problems and the complex systems that make up our psyche, invite you to participate in this broad visual proposal. <\/P>
