OSN Concludes Successfully Educational Concerts Season<\/STRONG> T<\/SPAN> <\/STRONG>he Educational Concerts Season of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) came to a close under the masterful direction of Maestro Santy Rodr\u00edguez and the performance of three new musicians. <\/P> The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture. The following musicians participated in it: Juan Carlos Mart\u00ednez (clarinet), Alfredo Luz\u00f3n and Charlie Rafael Ferm\u00edn (violin).<\/P> For Maestro Jos\u00e9 Antonio Molina, Director of the National Symphony Orchestra, \u201cthis season was wonderful, because we are sowing the seeds in the large audience of the future. I am fascinated with the fact that children can appreciate and learn about classical music\u201d.<\/P> During the closing of the Educational Concert Season, Santy Rodr\u00edguez explained to the children and youth who attended the concert at the MINC Enriquillo S\u00e1nchez Auditorium, which are the instruments that make up the OSN and the functions they perform.<\/P> The symphonic program consisted of dance pieces of the comedies \u201cThe Bartered Bride\u201d (Bedrich Smetana); West Side Story, selections (Leonard Bernstein); Navarra, for two violins and orchestra (Pablo Sarasate); Sabre Dance of the \u201cGayaneh\u201d Suite (Aram Khachaturiam); William Tell Overture (Giacomo Rossini); and, Concerto in A for Clarinet and Orchestra, and Symphony No. 40 in G minor (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart).<\/P> The artistic presentation was attended by students of various schools, such as the Loyola School, Decroly, King Christian School, Don Bosco, Amiguitos de Jes\u00fas, Vivi Preschool, Santo Domingo Sabio Home School, Saint Patrick, Gregorio Hern\u00e1ndez School, Cuoleni, and, Dios es amor (God is love) school.<\/P> OSN Concludes Successfully Educational Concerts SeasonSanto Domingo, Dominican Republic, 04\/15\/2014 T he Educational Concerts Season of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) came to a close under the masterful direction of Maestro Santy Rodr\u00edguez and the performance of three new musicians.
