I believe that our participation in previous editions of the Dominican book fair and the affinity between the two countries has given us the distinction of being chosen as Guest of Honor Country to show the public the richness of our culture”, he said. “In my view, the Book Fair of Santo Domingo is the largest cultural event in the Caribbean and Central America, which is the reason why we believe that it is the perfect setting for our artists to be known beyond the borders of Panama” said the Diplomat. “Six indigenous ethnic groups that maintain customs from pre-Columbian times, live in Panama. The most colorful are the Kuna Indians and we will have the presence of a native Kuna photographer, who will exhibit her creations in the FIL”, said the Panamanian Ambassador.
