The conference seeks to explore the multiple narratives of documenting the life experiences of the Dominican people in the United States. The conference welcomes papers that document new knowledge about Dominicans. For example, papers that explore the increased participation of Dominicans in institutional and grassroots politics in the U.S, offer comparative perspectives of Dominicans with other groups, highlight women\u2019s work in the making of the Dominican Community, examine the impact of second and third generations in U.S. society, study the Dominican literary production in Spanish in the U.S., issues of transnationalism, examine immigrants and\/or second generation Dominicans in education, or contribute to the field of queer Dominican Studies. <BR><BR>Presentations will be accepted in English or Spanish.
