The goal of this non-governmental organization is to bring together social, cultural, sports, student, religious, labor and provincial organizations, among others.<\/P><br \/>\n<P class=quote style=\"BORDER-TOP: #cccccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #cccccc 1px solid; WIDTH: 30%; BORDER-BOTTOM: #cccccc 1px solid; FLOAT: right; PADDING-BOTTOM: 8px; PADDING-TOP: 8px; PADDING-LEFT: 8px; MARGIN: 20px; BORDER-LEFT: #cccccc 1px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 8px; BACKGROUND-COLOR: whitesmoke\">Delegates representing member institutions with the right to vote participated in the General Assembly. They had a single slate and were elected unanimously. Their main goal will be to organize the community and educate and strengthen grassroots organizations to deal with their needs.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Delegates representing member institutions with the right to vote participated in the General Assembly. Their main goal will be to organize the community and educate and strengthen grassroots organizations to deal with their needs.&nbsp;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The elected Board of Directors are Alfredo Miases, general coordinator; Jes\u00fas Casanova, secretary of the organization; MiguelCruceta, treasurer; Santa Zapata, minutes and correspondence; Idalia Santana, policy and strategy; Nolagko Nolasco, media; Yolanda Santani, public relations; Tony D\u00edaz, international relations; Francisco Rosado, intercommunity relations; Lu\u00eds Johnson, art, culture and education and Randolfo D\u00edaz, children\u2019s affairs.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>There are also coordinators like Victor N. Hiciano, for the Bronx; Jos\u00e9 A. P\u00e9rez, Manhattan; Carmen de la Rosa, Brooklyn; and members of different departments including Miguel A. L\u00f3pez, Domingo Encarnaci\u00f3n, Freddy de los Santos, Miguel Paulino, Mart\u00edn Hidalgo, Publio Lorenzo, Loida P\u00e9rez, Carlos Espinal, Dar\u00edo Abreu and Daniel Rom\u00e1n.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Other departments were also formed by Jes\u00fas P\u00e9rez, Mois\u00e9s Gonz\u00e1lez, Arlen Acosta, Luc\u00eda Toribio, Agueda Ure\u00f1a, Rafael L\u00f3pez, Lorenzo Chapman, Lu\u00eds Garc\u00eda, Pedro Pe\u00f1a, Miguel Rom\u00e1n and Ch\u00fa Merceces.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Member organizations participating included the Andrea P.&nbsp;<A href=\"http:\/\/neoyorkinos.com\/2013\/05\/08\/asamblea-general-coalicion-fotos\/\">Foundation<\/A>, Acci\u00f3nHainera, Club Villa Altagracia in the Exterior, Dominican Athletes, COPOLA, Miners Association San Juan de la Maguana Foundation, Macor\u00eds Del Mar Series 23 Club, theNew York State Fraternal Order of Police, which brings together the Dominican Police Officers of New York.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Also present with the right to speak and vote was the Association of Rio Arribenses in the USA, (ARENA), Neoyorkinos.com, Los Soneros, Committee of San Cristobal Natives, EnsancheOzama Foundation, Bienvenido Cruz Foundation (S.F.M), the Tamboril Community Center, Santa Luc\u00edaCultural Club, Dominican Esperanza Ambientaland the Brooklyn Athletic Club.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Other organizations participated as observers while some Dominican personalities in New York attended the event at the Andrea P.
