Ministry of Culture concludes diploma course with a keynote lecture by \u00c1ngel Moreno<\/SPAN><\/STRONG> T<\/SPAN>he Ministry of Culture and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) successfully completed the First Diploma in Cultural Management and Creative Industries. Prior to the closing ceremony, Mr. \u00c1ngel Moreno, from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, offered the keynote lecture “Emprendimiento Cultural, Pilar del Desarrollo: Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas Para el Sector (Cultural Entrepreneurship, Pillar of Development: Public Policy for the Sector).”
Carlos Santos, Deputy Minister of Institutional Development, represented Minister Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rodr\u00edguez at the event; he was accompanied by Nerva Fondeur, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage; C\u00e9sar Cuello, Director of FLACSO; and Tommy Garc\u00eda, in charge of the Vice Ministry of Popular Creativity. <\/P>

He advocated for models that promote people\u2019s well-being, excluding the tensions that arise between the economy and culture, in general.
He spoke about the importance of entrepreneurship, because it can make important contributions to the sector. He presented his country as an example, where cultural industries contribute 3.5 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
He offered an important figure: cultural industries accounts for 5.8 percent of the employment rate in his country.
In addition, he stated that entrepreneurship policies must integrate the various sectors of government, including the municipal government, an issue he raised with Minister Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rodr\u00edguez during one of their previous encounters. <\/P>
