The event, one of the genre\u2019s most important of the city, will take place between July 4th and August 1st.<\/P><br \/>\n<P class=quote style=\"BORDER-TOP: #cccccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #cccccc 1px solid; WIDTH: 30%; BORDER-BOTTOM: #cccccc 1px solid; FLOAT: right; PADDING-BOTTOM: 8px; PADDING-TOP: 8px; PADDING-LEFT: 8px; MARGIN: 20px; BORDER-LEFT: #cccccc 1px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 8px; BACKGROUND-COLOR: whitesmoke\">Every Thursday in July and the first Thursday of August, at 9:00 pm in the <EM>Casa de Teatro<\/EM>\u2019s<EM>Crist\u00f3bal de Llerena<\/EM> hall, and on the big screen in the Caf\u00e9 Theater bar &#8230;<\/P><br \/>\n<P><EM>Casa de Teatro\u2019s<\/EM> Santo Domingo Jazz Festival started in the year 2000 and supported Dominican bands while providing an opportunity for people to enjoy national and international jazz at affordable prices.<BR><BR>A goal of this festival is to help new Dominican jazz talents grow, as well as help the growth of those previously established.
