T<\/SPAN>he Cultural Center of Spain includes, at least, one concert in its monthly program of activities. This time it is Roc\u00edo M\u00e1rquez\u2019s turn. She is considered among the most outstanding singing stars of the new generation of the flamenco genre.<\/P>

In 2008, the Spanish artist won the L\u00e1mpara Minera <\/EM>award at the Festival de Cante de las Minas<\/EM>, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of flamenco singing.<\/P>

Renowned flamenco critic, Juan Verguillos, says about Roc\u00edo:<\/P>

“Roc\u00edo M\u00e1rquez interprets the traditional songsin a very personal manner, given that it is no coincidence that she is a composer as well as a singer of new creations, which places her among the most prominent of flamenco\u2019s new generation.<\/EM>“<\/P>

The event will take place in the courtyard of the Cultural Center of Spain (calle Arzobispo Meri\u00f1o esq. Arzobispo Portes, Colonial City) and the admission is free of charge.<\/P>
