Ministry of Culture Presents Mu Kien Adriana Sang Ben\u2019s Book in Moca M<\/SPAN>u Kien Adriana Sang Ben\u2019s book “Unautop\u00edainconclusa: Espaillat y el liberalismodominicano del siglo XIX” (An Inconclusive Utopia: Espaillat and Dominican Liberalism in the 19th Century) was launched by the Ministry of Culture as part of the inaugural event of the First Pedagogical Congress in the Province of Espaillat. <\/P> “This book has served as a common thread for excellence which has united the past, the present and the future of the entire human experience.Through this book and what we learn by reading it, we find out what we are and what we can be,\u201d …<\/P> The book, a portrait of the evolution of liberalism in Latin America and the Dominican Republic is a genuine look at the political primitivism that arose in the region following the rupture of the links that once united the peoples of America with their European background.<\/P> The event was presided over by the intellectual and Espaillat Senator Jos\u00e9 Rafael Vargas, ideologue of the Congress; Governor of the province, Andr\u00e9s Dilon\u00e9Ovalles; Mayor of Moca, Remberto Cruz; historian Mu Kien Adriana Sang Ben, and Luis Brea Franco, coordinator of the Vice Ministry of Cultural Heritage, who was there to represent the Minister of Culture, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rodr\u00edguez.<\/P> “This book has served as a common thread for excellence which has united the past, the present and the future of the entire human experience.Through this book and what we learn by reading it, we find out what we are and what we can be,\u201d said Luis Brea Franco, about Sang Ben\u2019s new book.<\/P> He said the first edition of \u201cAn Inconclusive Utopia: Espaillat and Dominican Liberalism in the 19th Century,\u201d already out of print, was published in 1997 by the Technologic Institute of Santo Domingo. This second edition, with a new cover, contains a review and complete updating of information as well as new prologue by the author and an introduction by Senator Jos\u00e9 Rafael Vargas.<\/P> Mr. Brea Franco, of the Vice Ministry of Cultural Heritage,saidthis research highlights \u201cthe convincing reality as reflected in the lessons for the present as found in the last chapter which are crystalized through the belief in our authoritative writer Pedro Henr\u00edquez Ure\u00f1a, for the need in the Americas to define new utopias with the goal of building a universal American character.\u201d<\/P> “We in the Ministry of Culture are very pleased to put this exceptional publication into the hands of readers here in the province of Espaillat,”concluded Brea Franco.
