Those attending the concert included diplomats, Dutch government functionaries, members of the press, private business people, directors of multinationals, university professors and Dominican residents in the Netherlands. <\/P>\u201cIt gives me great pleasure to reconfirm once again that one of the most effective formulas to maintain and incentivize a good image of our country in Holland and all of the European Union is through the fine arts, especially painting and music,\u201d said the Dominican Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The invited soloist for the concert was Dr. Eugenio Matos, current Minister Counselor of the Dominican Embassy in The Hague and former member of the National Symphony Orchestra of Santo Domingo. He was accompanied by renowned Serbian pianist, Vladan Kulisic. <\/P>\u201cEvents like this elevate and distinguish the impression of the public toward this Diplomatic Mission and, as such, the prestige and recognition of the Dominican Republic in an international milieu,\u201d said John Dunkelgrun, President of the Latin American Fine Art Association (ARTANA) in Holland..
