We will choose three finalists and our friends on FB will make the final choice between them.\u201d BIOGRAPHY. Joan Prats (Santo Domingo, 1977) is a journalist, publicist and writer. He has a degree in Advertising Communication from UNIBE then went on to earn a Masters in Marketing at INTEC. He expanded his specialization by writing freelance articles at the London School of Journalism. He wrote comedy scripts for the Joso School of Comedians of Barcelona. He was the copywriter and creative force in various advertising agencies. Prats is currently part of the team of the Estilos Magazine of Diario Libre where he writes a column called \u201cSpinoff.\u201d \u201cThe Middle Finger of Reality Greets Me\u201d is his first novel. SUMMARY. It is the last year of the 20th century, young Dominican David Ferrer, narrator and main character of the novel, is going through an existential crisis (work and career) in Barcelona where he has gone to supposedly study advertising. However, he spends a lot of time walking around the city streets, watching the passersby and experiencing strange episodes of delirium and hallucination while trying to write a novel of which he has only written a few lines. When the day ends, he takes refuge in his apartment, an oasis of videogames and pop culture which he shares with his roommate Origami. David never suspects how the meeting with an old friend from Santo Domingo will force him to reconsider his lifestyle and determine what is real and what is a product of his imagination.<\/P>
