OAS to feature Dominican Photo Exhibit in May 2010<\/STRONG> The Photo Exhibit, which runs the whole month of May at the OAS in Washington DC , is keenly supported by Dominican President Leonel Fernandez, and forms part of GFDD\/FUNGLODE\u2019s overall goal to promote the DR,..<\/P> Global Foundation for Democracy (GFDD) and its sister institution in Santo Domingo, Fundaci\u00f3n Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), in collaboration with the Organization of American States Department of External Relations, and Art Museum of the Americas, will display a selection of over 30 photo images documenting the country\u2019s beautiful and varied landscapes.<\/P> The Photo Exhibit, which runs the whole month of May at the OAS in Washington DC , is keenly supported by Dominican President Leonel Fernandez, and forms part of GFDD\/FUNGLODE\u2019s overall goal to promote the DR, disseminate information about the country, as well as strengthen appreciation and respect for its culture and ecological heritage.<\/P> His Excellency, Roberto B Saladin, Ambassador of the DR to the United States and the permanent Ambassador of the DR at the OAS Virgilio Alc\u00e1ntara, also endorsed the project and confirmed their participation. <\/P> Created by Editor in Chief, Natasha Despotovic, \u201cNew Perspectives: Dominican Republic \u201d is a masterly compiled 300 page bilingual English-Spanish publication comprised of nearly 400 aerial images. The book\u2019s photographer, Anne Casale, will be on hand at the inaugural reception in early May Advanced copies can be purchased online at: \/Portal\/english\/compras\/compras.asp .
