The Dominican Republic Will Show its New Tourism Offerings at FITUR 2010 in Madrid <\/STRONG><\/P> T<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>he Dominican Republic, in its 271-square meter promotional stand, will show off its newest tourism items and specialties in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR in Spanish) to be held in Madrid, Spain from January 20-24. <\/P> Mr. Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez said Dominican tourism promotion will be focused in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Germany, France, Russia, Sweden, the Ukraine, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Brazil, the United States, England, Asia and the Dominican Republic. <\/P> Tourism Minister, Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda, who will be leading the official delegation, said that with the DR\u2019s participation in FITUR, it will be kicking off this year\u2019s 2010 international promotional cycle to encourage tourism to the Dominican Republic. This will involve various activities and participation in 43 international fairs as well as hundreds of road shows in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Dominican Republic, according to the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) Office of Press and Communications. Mr. Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez said Dominican tourism promotion will be focused in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Germany, France, Russia, Sweden, the Ukraine, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Brazil, the United States, England, Asia and the Dominican Republic.
