T<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>he Dominican Republic\u2019s 200-meter promotional stand will serve as the venue to display the country\u2019s touristic novelties at the World Travel Market 2009, being held in London from November 9-12th. <\/P> “The World Travel Market is a professional fair that offers a unique opportunity to get together, establish contacts, …<\/P> This information was released by the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda, who announced that 17 hotel companies, tour operators, service providers and travel agents from the DR will be operating out of this space, according to information released by the Press and Communication Office of the Tourism Ministry (SECTUR). He named some of the organizations and companies that will have a presence in the stand, including the National Association of Hotels and Restaurants (ASONAHORES), <\/P> Amhsa Marina, Caribbean Nexus Tours, Casa de Campo, Club Caribbean, Coral Hospitality Group, Domitur, Hola Tours, Majestic Resorts Europe, NH Real Arena, Oasis Hotels & Resorts, Occidental Hotels & Resorts, Paradisus Palma Real, Punta Cana Resort & Club, VIP Travel Services, VK Hotels Group and Viva Wyndham Resorts. <\/P> Mr. Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez added that a delegation of press and communications directors will be participating and will include the editors of specialized sections of newspapers as well as writers and journalists who will see, firsthand, the work being done by the Tourism Ministry to position the DR as the main option for tourism reception in the Caribbean region. <\/P> On this opportunity, confirmed Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez, representatives from news media outlets will be present and these include the newspapers Hoy, List\u00edn Diario, El Caribe, Diario Libre, El Gobierno de la Ma\u00f1ana as well as the Dominican Association of Press Tourism (Adompretur), Sabrina en Fin de Semana, the Caribbean Travel Network (CTN), La Vida Misma and the News Chanel (CDN). <\/P> He noted that last year the World Travel Market hosted 49,963 participating professionals from around the world and 5,615 exhibitors from 187 countries. <\/P> Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez explained that the World Travel Market is being held in the Excel London, the main fairgrounds in the United Kingdom\u2019s capitol. He said it is one of the most significant and lucrative events dedicated to the travel and tourism industry. <\/P> “The World Travel Market is a professional fair that offers a unique opportunity to get together, establish contacts, negotiate, exhibit products and to carry out multiple activities in the worldwide travel sector industry,\u201d said the Tourism Minister. <\/P> Garc\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez added that the fair is visited by business people, producers, providers and travel agents, among other participants from around the world, who know that here they will find what they need and want for their businesses in an efficient and productive way.
