U<\/SPAN>S Consul General visits Deputy Minister C\u00e9sar Jos\u00e9 De Los Santos, underscores tourism potential of North Coast .<\/P> Mr. Schimmel also took an interest in the touristic port town and the area\u2019s commercial potential based on its geographic position. He positively noted the high level of security that prevails in the coastal area;<\/P> The Consul General of the United States in the Dominican Republic stressed the economic and tourism potential in this tourism area as well praising the high levels of security in the areas of Sos\u00faa, Cabarete, Playa Dorada, Cofres\u00ed, Maim\u00f3n and Luper\u00f3n. <\/P> Michael Schimmel said that the dynamism of work among the Tourism Ministry personnel in this city as well as the private sector constitutes an important factor for the strengthening of Puerto Plata as a destination. <\/P> In a meeting with the Deputy Tourism Minister of the Northern Region, C\u00e9sar Jos\u00e9 de los Santos, Mr. Schimmel also highlighted the positive attitude of the governor, Eridania Llibre and the hard work being done by General Eduardo Alberto Then. <\/P> Upon listening to a series of explanations and information about the projects Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda is contemplating for the Northern Coast, Schimmel praised the tourism and economic potential of Puerto Plata and its surrounding villages. <\/P> At the same time, Mr. Schimmel also took an interest in the touristic port town and the area\u2019s commercial potential based on its geographic position.
