Ferilibro Publishing<\/STRONG>, which began operating in 1997 when the recent book fairs began, will present the following publications: <\/P>

      • “Anthology of Dominican Stories\u201d <\/STRONG>French edition. Selection by Ren\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Soriano translated by Andr\u00e9 Charland.
        \n
      • \u201cThe Tower of Panoramas\u201d <\/STRONG>Critical essays on Dominican writers by Carlos Ardav\u00edn.
        \n
      • \u201cMasks and Identity: Images from the Dominican Carnival,\u201d <\/STRONG>by Dagoberto Tejeda.

      • \u201cCabral, A Poet in America,\u201d<\/STRONG> by the Argentine writer Manuel Ugarte. The book, published in 1955 in Buenos Aires, is about the work of the poet Manuel del Cabral, and has never before been published in Santo Domingo. <\/LI><\/UL>

        Finally, Angeles de Fierro<\/STRONG>, a non-profit Publisher which receives financial support from the Ministry of Culture to publish the books of writers from the country\u2019s provinces, will present the following poetry texts from young writers: <\/P>

        • \u201cSlobbering from Purgatory\u201d<\/STRONG> by Carlos Jos\u00e9 Reyes. <\/LI><\/UL>

          With the exception of Manuel Ugarte\u2019s book of about Manuel del Cabral\u2019s poetry, to be presented on April 7, all the rest of the books will be presented at a joint activity prior to the Book Fair, on April 15 at the Ram\u00f3n Oviedo Art Gallery of the SEC at 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Later at the Book Fair, each one will be presented individually. <\/P>

          The National Publisher is directed by the poet Le\u00f3n F\u00e9lix Batista. Ferilibro Editions is directed by the writer Pedro Antonio Vald\u00e9z and SEC Editions is run by the poet Basilio Belliard. French-Dominican poet No\u00e9 Zayas is the editor of Angeles de Fierro. <\/P>
          \n

          The XII International Book Fair of Santo Domingo 2009 will be held from Monday April 20 until Saturday May 3 in the Juan Pablo Duarte Culture Plaza. This year\u2019s Fair will be dedicated to Juan Bosch on the centenary of his birth. Brazil is this year\u2019s special guest of honor. <\/P>
