T<\/SPAN>he short film, “Pinchos & Rolos,” made by US-based Dominican Freddy Vargas was selected to participate in the New York Latino International Film Festival.<\/SPAN> <\/P> The film, which was shot in 4 days in the Dominican neighborhood of Washington Heights in upper Manhattan, New York…<\/P> “Pinchos & Rolos,” a 22-minute musical comedy, is Vargas\u00b4s 8th short film and his first in 35 mm. It was selected to participate in the Day Dreaming shorts section of the New York Latino International Film Festival. The film, which was shot in 4 days in the Dominican neighborhood of Washington Heights in upper Manhattan, New York, was inspired by a theater piece with the same name written by his aunt, the playwright Elizabeth Ovalle. The team of actors includes Laura G\u00f3mez (currently in the Spanish Repertorio of \u201cDo<\/SPAN>\u00f1<\/SPAN>a Flor and Her Two Husbands), Anthony \u00c1lvarez (La Madici\u00f3n del Padre Cardona, Frida, The Time of the Butterflies), and the young actors, Angie Jerez, Alexandra Guti\u00e9rrez and Sandie Luna, in addition to Fidel Vicioso in the role of Felin.<\/SPAN><\/P>
