Padovani is showing 24 paintings made up of medium and large size pictures on canvas based on the mystical concept of the owl against a background of soft earth tones that give each canvas a feel of night silence while all the while retaining Caribbean-colored brushstrokes.<br \/>\n<P><\/P><br \/>\n<DIV style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 15px; FONT-SIZE: 16px; FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica, Georgia; WIDTH: 210px; FLOAT: right; COLOR: #339966; PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: right; MARGIN-LEFT: 10px; MARGIN-TOP: 1px; LINE-HEIGHT: 24px\"><SPAN class=quote style=\"COLOR: blue\">He added that the ghosts appearing in the painting are figures that appear to be owls, figures that also have a distinctly erotic connotation. <\/STRONG><\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<P>Peruvian art critic Luis Alberto Galindo said that \u201cFriends of the Night\u201d encompasses much speculation, conjecture such as when friends get together at night after the moon has risen and the sun has set or the same in the world of painting. He added that the ghosts appearing in the painting are figures that appear to be owls, figures that also have a distinctly erotic connotation. \u201cThis collection makes us go over each one of his paintings with a double interpretation of his figures where Venus and Mars are melted into translucent graphics under symbolic ghosts,\u201d said Galindo.<br \/>\n<P>\u201cFriends of the Night\u201d will be open to the public until March 25 in the Art Hall of Ram\u00f3n Oviedo from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. John Padovani was born in Peru and has lived in the Dominican Republic for 19 years.
