Rio Group to Meet Here in March <\/STRONG><\/P>The Dominica Republic will host the upcoming 20th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Rio Group to be held here on March 6 and 7. The meeting will deal with themes of special interest to member countries such as energy, natural disasters and development. <\/P> <\/P> The minister said that the following Latin American leaders have confirmed their participation in the meeting: Presidents Cristina Fern\u00e1ndez of Argentina; Evo Morales of Bolivia; Michelle Bacheletof Chile; Felipe Calder\u00f3n of M\u00e9xico; Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua; \u00c1lvaro Colom of Guatemala and El\u00edas Saca Gonz\u00e1lez of El Salvador.<\/P> Mr. Morales Troncoso explained that the event, to which Haiti has been invited, will also be attended by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Insulza and Enrique Iglesias, Secretary General of the Ibero-American Summit. This information was disseminated in a press release from the President\u2019s Office of Information, Press and Publicity. Morales Troncoso pointed out that the 20th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Rio Group will put forward solutions to conflicts and problems that affect the region. On March 4-5, there will be a meeting of national coordinators from the Rio Group who will be in charge of providing follow-up on the topics covered in the meeting. In the first meeting of Foreign Ministers to be held in the Minister\u2019s office on March 6, they will discuss the technical and political issues of the Rio Group.
