According to a note from the CNC, Van der Horst \u00c1lvarez was involved in the \u201cGlobal Competition 2015\u201d discussions with Mr. Porter, Ricardo Hausmann, Harvard Business School professor and Andr\u00e9s Velasco, Chile\u2019s Minister of Economy.
The Dominican representative also participated in a workshop on the opportunities and challenges of global competition. He spoke about the need for the Dominican Republic to diversify its tourism industry through a tourism sector development program that integrates the communities, the private sector and the government.
The Davos Forum was moderated by Daniel Hertzberg, editor of the Wall Street Journal, and was attended by representatives from international organizations such as the European Commission for Competition as well as political and economic leaders.
