The NGO is calling upon citizens to donate medicine, plastic containers to store drinking water, food, mattresses, sheets, bleach, mosquito nets, household items, useful school supplies and clothing for children. <\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><SPAN lang=EN-US>&nbsp;<\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><SPAN lang=EN-US>According to a press release sent by the NGO, \u201cthe intervention of BRA Dominicana will permit these families to recuperate from the traumatic situation caused by the floods and guarantee them better health.\u201d &nbsp;<\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><SPAN lang=EN-US>These activities will be undertaken by medical and technical personnel of BRA Dominicana.<\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><SPAN lang=EN-US>&nbsp;<\/SPAN><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><STRONG>Latest Data <\/STRONG><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><STRONG>&nbsp;<\/STRONG><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><SPAN lang=EN-US>The Emergency Operations Committee reported that the number of people who died as a result of the storm has risen to 24; 189 communities are still without communications; 49,170 people remain homeless and displaced and 9,834 homes have been damaged.
