The project entails a $103 million-dollar investment.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The deal was signed at a ceremony on the new highway. Engineers Pedro Delgado Malag\u00f3n and Miguel A. Logro\u00f1o Di Vanna of the Public Works Ministry were also present, according to a press report released by the President\u2019s Information, Press and Publicity Office. &nbsp;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>D\u00edaz R\u00faa explained that the north-south Santo Domingo-Saman\u00e1 highway will pass through all of the touristic areas in the North East region, satisfying the long-time need for residents of the province of Saman\u00e1 as well as those of tourists who visit the region. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>The functionary pointed out that the second phase of the highway project includes the building of a circular road beginning at Kilometer Zero, extending from Nagua and passing through S\u00e1nchez toward Saman\u00e1. It will continue from Saman\u00e1\/ Las Terrenas and El Catey passing by the airport to Rinc\u00f3n de Molinillo.
