The decision was taken as part of the austerity program underway to assist victims of Hurricane Noel and to show solidarity with their losses. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>The decision, released in a communiqu\u00e9 by Luis Manuel Bonetti, administrative secretary in the president\u2019s office, was directed toward local, regional, national and executive offices as well as centralized, decentralized and autonomous organizations.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>The press release articulated that the Christmas period this year will be a time to express feelings of solidarity for those in need and to reaffirm the commitment of service toward the Dominican people through the various government institutions.
