Santo Domingo, December 5, 2019 \u2013<\/b>\u00a0The most exciting night for Dominican families is coming\u2026and soon! It is the \u201cLong Night of Museums\u201d annual event, this time featuring two very special themes:\u00a0 <\/span>the merengue, the Dominican national rhythm and dance and awareness raising on the issue of gender violence.<\/p>\n The traditional cultural event is sponsored by the country\u2019s Ministry of Culture and will take place on December 14.\u00a0 <\/span>All museums in the capital city\u2019s Colonial Zone will participate with their own particular events.\u00a0 <\/span>Hours will run from 9:00 in the morning until midnight. All activities scheduled are free of charge.<\/p>\n \n The Ministry announced an exciting cultural and artistic agenda, coordinated by the Ministry\u2019s Office of Museums.\u00a0 <\/span>The event is organized for the pleasure of national and international guests.<\/p>\n As is done each year, each museum in the Colonial Zone will have guided tours to their particular facility.\u00a0 <\/span>There will also be \u201cliving statues\u201d dressed in colonial attire, music, choirs, merengue bands, arts and crafts, as well as literary and theater presentations.<\/p>\n The closing event, as announced by the Ministry, will be at the \u201cPlaza de Espa\u00f1a,\u201d the Zone\u2019s main square, with the presentation of Dominican singers Adalgisa Pantale\u00f3n, Miriam Cruz and her orchestra and the Boba Band.\u00a0 <\/span>The space will be overtaken by the Christmas spirit Dominican style.<\/p>\n The Zone\u2019s most important museums will remain open until midnight, such as: \u201cCasa de Tostado,\u201d \u201cCasa de Teatro,\u201d Museum of the Dominican Family, \u201cCasas Reales,\u201d Columbus Palace, the Juan Pablo Duarte Wax Museum, as well as many important sites.<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Santo Domingo, December 5, 2019 \u2013\u00a0The most exciting night for Dominican families is coming\u2026and soon!
