B\u00e1varo-Punta Cana, September 18, 2019 \u2013 Because of his tremendous contributions to the development of sports tourism in the eastern region of B\u00e1varo-Punta Cana \u2013 the country\u2019s most important tourism enclave \u2013 the Organizing Committee of the Fifth Annual Norceca Beach Volleyball recognized Carlos Jim\u00e9nez Ruiz, development director for the Caribbean of the Lopesan Hotels Group.<\/p>\n
The award was presented by Norceca president Mr. Crist\u00f3bal Marte, Ram\u00f3n A. Garc\u00eda, president of Fedovoli, Ernesto Veloz, president of the Organizing Committee and Asoleste, and the general coordinator and president of AA Marketing Sports Event, Amos Anglade. <\/p>\n
Ernesto Veloz highlighted the career of Jim\u00e9nez Ruiz and the efforts he has carried out to strengthen sports activities in the region. Thanks to his efforts, many sports activities have complemented the tourism offer in the B\u00e1varo-Punta Cana District.<\/p>\n
At the same time Am\u00f3s Anglade, general coordinator of the tournament and president of AA Marketing Sports Event, also explained the importance of having individuals like Carlos Jim\u00e9nez working to support such important activities.<\/p>\n
The director of development for the Caribbean region of the Lopesan Hotels Group thanked all those present for the award, and reiterated his commitment to continue working for the benefit of all sports activities held in this important tourism region.<\/p>\n
\u201cI truly appreciate this award, and to see that each day we are bringing in more people and organizing events such as this one. We should all be proud of what we have achieved. It will always be an honor to contribute with the development of sports activities in this region,\u201d stated Jim\u00e9nez Ruiz.<\/p>\n
V Narcea Beach Volleyball Tournament <\/p>\n
The competition took place between September 13-15 in the strikingly beautiful beaches of B\u00e1varo. Participating teams included the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Guatemala, U.S. Virgin Islands, Nicaragua, Bahamas, Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, among other nations. <\/p>\n
