For 10 straight days Dominican dishes will be included in the menus offered by a wide array of local restaurants and bars<\/strong><\/p>\n

Santo Domingo, August 15, 2018 \u2013 <\/strong>From August 24 to September 2 New York City residents and international travelers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of traditional Dominican dishes that will be available through a network of local restaurants and bars.<\/p>\n

The director of the Dominican Tourism Office for the Northeastern region of the U.S., Lucien Echavarr\u00eda, explained that the 10-day event will officially open on Thursday, August 23, and is hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and sponsored by \u00a0Presidente Beer, USA.<\/p>\n

The goal of Taste Dominican Republic is to introduce the delicious dishes that characterize Dominican gastronomy, \u201cThrough this event we will complement the excellent standing of Dominican tourism in the U.S. market, which is currently a number one destination for American travelers,\u201d explained Echavarr\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Promoting the country\u2019s gastronomic offer will add an exceptional value to the robust Dominican food and beverage industries,\u201d commented Raymundo Morales, executive director of Taste Dominicana, a 10-year program that has worked to promote Dominican gastronomy throughout the world.<\/p>\n

Taste DR, as the initiative is known, will be actively promoted through various media and social media outlets in the tri-state area, and will be strategically present in midtown Manhattan, visited by some five million individuals everyday many of which could become potential travelers to the D.R.<\/p>\n

Information on the special events, menus and bars participating in the Taste DR event is readily available in tastedominicanrepublic.com.<\/p>\n

Participants will enjoy a wide variety of cocktails, beer, special lunches and dinners with prices that will range from US$15 to US$45 per person.<\/p>\n
