Santo Domingo, July 30, 2018 –\u00a0 <\/strong>Santo Domingo\u2019s Children\u2019s Choir celebrated the concert \u201cOne Instrument, One Voice\u201d at the Palace of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo. An enthusiastic audience attended the gala event.<\/p>\n

The choir, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, is directed by Maestro \u00c1ngel Herdz and Ellin Rodr\u00edguez Luna, its general coordinator.<\/p>\n

The concert program began with the Triumphant March, a composition authored by Professor \u00c1ngel Herdz and \u201cAutumn,\u201d by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi.\u00a0 The program continued with the Chimes Choir, who performed \u201cA Whole New World.\u201d\u00a0 The Dominican Bronze Choir also performed \u201cAll the things.\u201d<\/p>\n

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Children\u2019s Choir, which performed \u201cGloria Tibi Domine,\u201d \u201cVois sur tur chemin,\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u201cSur\u201d\u00a0\u00a0and \u201cS\u00ed.\u201d \u00a0The repertoire also included the \u201cAve Mar\u00eda\u201d by Caccini, with the participation of Estefani Almonte Luciano who performed a dance solo; \u201cSerenata para la Terra de Uno,\u201d and \u201cMi Quisqueya.\u201d<\/p>\n

Minister of Culture Eduardo Selman, accompanied by his wife Gloria Selman, attended the event accompanied by F\u00e9lix Germ\u00e1n, director of the Palace of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n

Each song performed by the choir was accompanied by a specific musical instrument, such as a piano and Dominican percussion instruments.<\/p>\n

At the end of the performance, Coordinator Ellin Rodr\u00edguez invited Minister Selman to come on stage to take an official photograph with the young choir members.<\/p>\n

The members of the choir receive special musical training, such as musical theory, vocal training, history of Dominican and universal music and language training.<\/p>\n

The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and is free of charge for its members.<\/p>\n
