Santo Domingo, April 26, 2018 \u2013 <\/strong>The\u00a0General Cinema Directorate (DGCINE)<\/strong>\u00a0announced on Wednesday, April 25, important details of the upcoming Second Congress on National Cinema.<\/p>\n Details on the Congress were given during a press conference held at Directorate headquarters in Santo Domingo.\u00a0\u00a0 Other participants included members of the national press, industry members, educational organizations, government officials, representatives from the private sector and investors. During the event the head of the Directorate, Yvette Marichal, gave ample details of the Congress agenda, which is scheduled to take place July 5-6 of this year at the Ministry of Foreign Relations Convention Center.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are more than honored to present to you the second edition of this important event, which will be a space where filmmakers and individuals related to the sector will be able to share their vision and experiences regarding an industry that has become solidly entrenched both in our national and in international territories: the industry of the seventh art,\u201d explained Ms.\u00a0 Marichal.<\/p>\n She also highlighted the success of the first Congress, where some 1,600 participants, and national and international experts and speakers participated.
