Today, renowned Dominican chef Inés Páez, Chef Tita, launched her diverse line of craft products, “Chef Tita Artesanal”, made with local, seasonal ingredients. It seeks to promote the use and appreciation of local produce and to delight the palate of all Dominicans.

Jams, chutneys, pickles, vinaigrettes, sauces, wines, liquors, cocoa, coffee, reductions, among others, are only part of the variety of goods made with Dominican produce being offered by the chef, who is the pioneer in the country of the movement known as The New Dominican Cuisine, which seeks to recover and reinvent the local gastronomy and to support and train farmers, peasants and fishermen in the rural communities of the country.

“Today I launch my line of products inspired by my Dominican Republic, a land rich and blessed, which has given me the best ingredients for each of my recipes. This has allowed me to have contact with farmers and small producers who work our land from the time the sun rises until the night falls,” stated the chef.

The products corresponding to this season, the month in which we celebrate all mothers, and which will be available for sale by request, are: jams made with fresh strawberries and roses from Constanza and jams made with beets from Clavellina, Dajabón, an interesting and exquisite blend of fresh beets, red wine and Mamajuana dew, recipes that were created with the heart, as the chef says.

In this regard she added: “Each of my recipes will tell you a story loaded with feelings conveying my experiences in the Dominican countryside and the Dominican flavor. I want to encourage you to consume local produce and make the most of what Mother Nature gives us. I have many things to tell, landscapes, nuances and flavors that I want to share with each of you, to recover our culinary heritage and the flavors of my land, proud of my country, my home, my environment and my people.”
