The Los Cuentacuentos (Storytellers) group will present the show “Cuentos de amor a la luz de la luna (Tales of love under the moonlight)” this Tuesday, March 25th, at 9:00 pm, at Casa de Teatro.

This proposal aims to amaze the viewers, awakening their imagination and sentiment through the living word.

The Storytellers is a group of professionals of oral narrative with a background in theater and education, and who have a common concern: the art of storytelling, the magic of the story.

The stories will be narrated by actresses Elvira Taveras, Lorena Oliva, Clara Lozano, Rita de los Santos, Sisa Ruival, and Dulce Elvira. Actor Johnnié Mercedes will also participate. There will be a series of stories of love and heartbreak, which will not lack a touch of humor or the adaptations of traditional and Latin American tales.  

Musician Germán Venegas will be the special guest. He will be playing timeless boleros, those that make our heart vibrate.

“Tales of love under the moonlight” is an excuse to escape the routine and return to the mystery of the daily language. Listening to stories makes us more sensitive beings and produces important sensations, both in the narrator and in the listener.

Storytelling is a traditional form of oral expression that is part of the popular culture of the people. The storyteller turns stories into living experiences and the listener gets involved in the story.

In ancient times, the storytellers entertained with their art and kept the traditions of the people, passing, from generation to generation, the wealth of knowledge of their ancestors. Myths and legends are the expression of this popular art which emerged from the need to reflect anything that impressed the senses.
