The Zooinfantil park, located within the Dominican National Zoo (Zoodom), is a recreation and entertainment option for the whole family. The attractions for children includes an area with domestic farm animals such as cows, goats, chickens, hens, pigs, ducks, etc. There is also a party area where families can have children’s birthday parties.

The Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Omar Ramírez Tejada, who along with Zoodom Director David Arias, officially opened Zooinfantil, said that soon a cafeteria will be built to accommodate visitors.

The reopening of the children’s area was made possible with economic support from various companies in the private sector and the collaboration between some public institutions such as the Dominican Corporation of State Electrical Companies (CDEEE) and Zoodom, which is part of the Environment Ministry.

Members of the business community who collaborated with the project and officials from Zoodom and the Environment Ministry as well as other public employees participated in the inauguration of the new children’s area of the zoo.
