The first #ZeroWaste store opens in the country: Zero.RD
The store Zero.RD is open for business, and its owner, ecologist Paola Tineo, expresses her passion for nature and the planet. The store is located on the first floor of Galerías 360 in Santo Domingo and it aims to facilitate the sourcing of healthy products with low environmental impact that allow the consumer to live an eco-friendly lifestyle, promoting positive habits that lead to zero waste. Lobster fishing and consumption is banned in the Dominican Republic from March 1 through June 30. The ban includes the capture and commercialization of lobsters through the country. For more information: www.codopesca.gob.do

In the D.R., the ban on consumption of Queen Conch meat (Strombus gigas/Lobatus gigas) runs from July 1 through October 31. This means that the fishing and commercialization of the Queen Conch is prohibited nationwide during this time period. For further information: www.codopesca.gob.do
