It is possible to pay AMET fines online!

For some time now, Dominican citizens have been able to check information on their outstanding traffic violations through the website: https://portal.servicios.pgr.gob.do/ConsultasCiudadano/. But few know that it is already possible to pay their fines on line as well.

If you have some pending traffic violations and do not have time to do it personally*, you can pay them online. The process is simple:

1. Enter the portal of the Online Services Center of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) https://portal.servicios.pgr.gob.do/
2. Press the key corresponding to the service you need (in the case of traffic fines/violations: “Payment of Services”).
3. Register by completing the short online form.
4. Select “Payment of traffic violations” and the fines you wish to pay.
5. Complete the information on the method of payment (credit card) and finish the process. If the transaction is accepted you will receive a Payment Confirmation that you may print. 24-48 hours later, all the traffic violations that were paid will be removed from the system.

* Payments in person may be made at the corresponding Transit Prosecutor’s Office or at Banco de Reservas.
