The Lyle O. Reitzel contemporary art gallery, fulfilling its inherent function of an open, new art space and its commitment to supporting young, emerging artists, is presenting its most recent discovery: Hulda Guzmán and Gustavo Peña.

This unique two-person show and is called “Urgent: Emerging Art of Hulda and Gustavo.”  The two artists are Dominican honors graduates from the Altos de Chavón School of Design and have attended, with scholarships, Parsons School of Design in New York and have Masters Degrees in Painting and Advanced Photography in the National Painting School in Mexico City.

In the attractive show, the duo, each with their own personality and individual artistic expression, are showing 18 never-before-seen paintings in acrylic and oil on wood. The opens at the Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery, located in the Piantini Tower, on July 24.
