Scholarships and Exchange Programs
1. National Scholarships Programs. The Scholarship Program of the Secretariat of the State of Higher Education, Science and Technology, SEESCYT, is a program that has as its principal objective:
“Offer educational opportunities to underprivileged young people and proven intellectual capacity throughout the country (provinces and municipalities), as a way to promote equality of opportunities and academic excellence.”
The Secretariat of the State of Higher Education, Science and Technology, SEESCYT, has the following National Scholarship Programs:
Scholarships Programs for Undergraduate and Graduate
Technological Education Program in the Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas, ITLA.
Requirements for Scholarship applicants are:
- Be Dominican.
- Have an academic average of a minimum of 80 points.
- Be in a lower income situation.
- Undergraduate Scholarships.
- Fill out the Scholarship Application Form, attaching:
- Letter addressed to Lic. Ligia Amada Melo de Cardona, requesting her assistance.
- Original Birth Certificate.
- 2x2 photograph.
- Photocopy of the identification of the Student and the parents.
- Original college diploma.
- Original transcript of undergraduate degree, sealed by the Secretaría de Estado de Education, SEE.
- Transcript of all periods enrolled in the university
