The City Council of the National District, in a press conference with national media, presented the regulations approved by the Chapter House, which governs the use and operation of the Iberoamérica Park and its environs, including the Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheatre.

The goal of Ordinance No. 3/2015 is to regulate the use of the area inside these facilities, which includes picnic grounds, a fitness center, playground, the Cave of Santa Ana and an exhibition space, among other things.

Everything is aimed at preserving this exquisite environment, the site of Iberoamérica Park, which since its recovery and inauguration, has served as a healthy recreation area for hundreds of thousands of residents of the capital who exercise and do sports there and share good times with their families.

“Our Iberoamérica Park is without a doubt one of the most attractive spaces for families from the city as it is equipped with a large number of facilities and attractions for the entire family to enjoy, from the eldest to the youngest,” said Miguel Martínez, Environmental Director of ADN.

"Within this large wooded area, the environmental lung is comprised of a huge grove of mostly centenary trees as well as ornamental plants and flowers that fill the entire environment with color and a cool breeze," said Mr. Martínez.

He said it is of vital importance for the National District Municipal Office to preserve all these natural areas and take advantage of the spaces that can serve as healthy recreational grounds for the citizens, added the Environment Director.

The Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheater Inaugurated on January 28th of this year, the amphitheater is a public infrastructure, built and managed by the ADN within the Iberoamérica Park, for the purpose of undertaking artistic, cultural, social and academic activities. Renowned national and international artistic figures such as Danny Rivera, Chucho Avellanet, Pablo Alborán, Diego el Cigala, Myriam Hernández, as well as the production of “Los tres temores con Cuquín,” have appeared and performed here to record audiences.

ADN authorities reported that since it first opened, at least 10,000 people have been to the Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheatre where they have enjoyed quality shows in a venue equipped with high-level security measures and operate with impeccable conduct at all performances and presentations.

Among the national and international performances confirmed for July to November include Andrés Cepeda, De Risa con Papá, Shadow Blow, Miriam Cruz, Santo Domingo All Star Salsa Festival with Yiyo Sarante, Alex Matos, among other entertainers in the tropical genre.

Administration of the Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheater has undertaken co-productions and collaboration with the National Conservatory of Music and School of Fine Arts, with the intention of making the facilities available to new talent emerging from their classrooms, so they can use this venue for putting on their shows and displaying their capabilities.
